Hi, I’m Georgia. Growing up, my family was a big fan of therapy. We had lots of family meetings and we talked about feelings. I came into adulthood with emotional awareness and an ability to talk about my experience. Yet, I still struggled with the deeper un-nameable feelings and sensations of disconnection, from myself, from relationships, from joy, etc.. I spent years navigating the unknown and trying different things - learning, hurting, laughing, and loving along the way. As a therapist, I walk alongside those in deep struggle, those searching for themselves and their path, and those trying to heal. I believe somatic and nature connection therapies are essential, for most of us, to fully embody the depth of our experience in the world.
Going beyond traditional talk therapy methods, I utilize tools and techniques from somatic and experiential methods of therapy, clinical hypnotherapy, and nature therapy. Experiential techniques tend to help us slow down, gain more insight, move through barriers, and ultimately tap into who we’ve always been and who we always will be… our internal guide / intuition / Self. I also provide preparation and integration for altered states of consciousness, and I am passionate about the relationship between psychedelics and psychotherapy. While I cannot sit with clients while they utilize a psychedelic medicine, for legal reasons, I do offer therapy while clients are taking low-dose ketamine that was prescribed by a doctor for home use, and the process is really enhanced by the additional medicinal tool.
Outside the therapy room, I offer various types of nature connection walks. In all places and times, I approach the healing journey with right-brained visuals and metaphor as well as a passion for connecting, laughing, archetypes, and this wild journey of being a human. I love talking with clients to get a “bird’s eye view” of their lives and patterns, then using additional tools for a deeply transformative and lasting shift towards more joy, more presence, and more connection with all beings.
Through humor, honesty, and loving presence, I hope to make overwhelming problems feel more manageable and to help clients find meaning in all chapters of life. I believe when a person grows a connection with, and compassion for, their own inner guidance, it changes the world. Helping my clients remember the true Self is my favorite thing. That means no matter the story, the events, the darkness, or the storms, there’s an inborn piece of Earth to stand on if you can remember how to find it. I’ve lived and worked on multiple continents this lifetime, and, in the end, I believe "we're all just walking each other home." -Ram Dass
