I’m Mary Lynne, a counseling student at Vanderbilt University. Although I’ve always been creative, curious, and contemplative, my own healing journey ultimately led me to counseling. The road to healing is winding, but experiencing my own suffering and moving through it has shown me what’s possible.
My experiences have taught me that there is immense creativity in the healing process. It truly is an art form that unfolds differently for each individual. My role is to walk alongside you, offering space for self-exploration, self-compassion, and emotional expression in ways that feel right for you. Counseling can help clear the noise created by life’s challenges, allowing your innate capacity for healing and growth to come forward. With time and care, the hope is to make meaningful shifts toward fulfillment and living more connected to your intuition.
I deeply care about supporting clients as they navigate trauma, identity, major life transitions, attachment wounds, boundaries, and the search for belonging. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals. I bring warmth, honesty, a bit of humor, and my full, authentic self so you don’t have to navigate life alone. Keeping your unique experiences and meaning-making at the center, I offer a nonjudgmental space for processing emotions and discovering new paths toward change.
My approach to therapy is holistic and integrative. While taking your mind, body, and spirit into account, my work with you is relational and somatically informed, drawing from existentialism, mindfulness, psychodynamic theory, and expressive arts.

I will be interning at Hazel House through May 2027, and I’d welcome a free, no-obligation phone call to see if we might be a good fit for one another.
I am a student intern working toward my Master’s degree at Vanderbilt University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have professional membership in the American Counseling Association and I am currently being supervised by Vanderbilt faculty and Dr. Lindsay Vaughn, Psy.D., HSP, CSP.
