My journey toward counseling is deeply informed by my lived experiences of joy, resilience, growth, passion, and a flourishing curiosity about people. I am Pakistani American, born in New Jersey, moved to Texas at a young age, and currently living in Tennessee—experiences that played a meaningful role in how I came to navigate belonging, cultural frameworks, identity exploration, community, and connection. I’ve long been fascinated by psychology, particularly how people understand their inner worlds, the relationship between emotion and behavior, and how healing is fostered through connection. I studied Public Health in undergrad and worked in a variety of school and clinical settings, where I discovered that clinical counseling lives at the crossroads of care, learning, and connection.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, supportive, and guided by curiosity. I tend to conceptualize client concerns through an attachment-based and trauma-informed lens, with attention to how past experiences influence current patterns. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and motivational interviewing. I often incorporate creativity, play, or expressive tools when helpful. I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and formative experiences. I’m especially interested in working with concerns related to anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, identity exploration, relationship dynamics, LGBTQIA+ experiences, adolescents, and college students.
Therapy can be a space where stories are held with care and where people can begin to navigate pain toward hope, clarity, and self-compassion. At the core of my work is the belief that healing begins with understanding ourselves more fully and gently. My goal is to offer a compassionate and affirming space that fosters growth and serves as a catalyst for meaningful change.

I am a student intern working toward my Master’s degree at Vanderbilt in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have professional membership in the American Counseling Association and I am currently being supervised by Vanderbilt University faculty and Dr. Lindsay Vaughn, Psy.D., HSP, CSP.
